Travel Day & Vancouver Day 1

What a difference a day makes.

After checking out of the hotel this morning, we walked about a minute and we were at the airline ticket counter for check in.  We arrived around the same time as we did the day before at our regional airport.  

Very few people in line at the ticket counter and we had no wait.

When we arrived to the TSA for screening it was several TSA officers and just the two of us.  They said we didn't even have to place our bags in the bins and this time no special check of our computers.

.Our flight was fine and uneventful.It was a full flight. We landed ten minutes after the scheduled arrival time as we were late taking off due to 15 planes ahead of us for takeoff.  All good.

After clearing customs we were met by the driver and driven to the hotel by the transfer company that Gabby arranged the transfer with.

On all of our pre-cruise stays in Vancouver dating back to the mid-1990's we have stayed at the Pan Pacific Hotel. It is located right at Canada Place.  We decided to change things up this time and are staying at the Fairmont Pan Pacific Rim Hotel. It is not the one that is directly across the street from Canada Place. Rather it is across the way and over about a block or so. 

When our room was ready we got settled. The room is beautiful. We then went out for a walk. It is wonderful to be in Vancouver and we look forward to a wonderful pre-cruise stay. Weather is very nice too.
