Vancouver Day 2

Many thanks to those of you who have provided comments. We enjoy reading each of them.  Thank you.

A couple of observations.

This is still part of the Alaska tourist season so it is very busy and vibrant at Canada Place and in the surrounding areas including Gastown.  

Views from the hotel including from our room are amazing. Keith had chosen a corner suite and there is one each on six floors of the hotel.

Hotel staff are very guest focused and professional. 


We ended up having dinner in the room last evening.  We were tired from our two days of travel and we wanted to get settled in the room.  We each had salads and an entree and that is all we needed.  Some wine which we picked up at a local wine shop was great too.

Good morning Vancouver at around 5:45 AM.

Our hotel amenities include breakfast. Three choices; club lounge, restaurant or room service. We opted for room service.

We enjoyed several walks today. This included walking along the waterfront area, a visit to Gastown, and another walk in a residential area of Vancouver. Weather has been great.

By late morning lots of people were out and about in addition to passengers who debarked the cruise ships which arrived this morning.  

In the afternoon we took another long walk of the day which included walking towards Stanley Park and to locations adjacent to it. Tomorrow we will go into the park. Lots of pedestrians and bikers, great weather, and a fun time all the way around.
