We wanted to digress for a moment since it was almost one week ago in the same city of Boston that two inspections of Serenity occurred. There is a saying that the sum of the team is far greater than the sum of individuals not working together. We believe this to be true. This is why we often refer to the crew on each ship as Team Serenity and Team Symphony. This teamwork was “Crystal Clear” in Boston last week when both the United States Coast Guard and the United States Public Health Services conducted the Health Inspection each conducted inspections. This is highly unusual for both inspections to take place on the same day. Likewise, it is unusual to achieve a score of 100% on the Health Inspection as Serenity and the Coast Guard inspection was also a major success. Each cruise member impacts the results no matter what your position is and how long they have worked for Crystal. The impact is two-fold. First ensuring that everything is done correctly and in is proper working order. Second, being able to answer each question posted to them during the inspection including demonstrating what to do in an emergency. The health and the safety of all guests and crew is the number one priority and these results reflect how seriously this is taken. Often, we are asked by those who have not sailed Crystal why do you sail with them so often and. For us the answer “Crystal Clear”. When you go beyond the food, entertainment, enrichment, itineraries, other on-board amenities and each ship, the major reason we sail with Crystal is the people, including guests and the crew. For us it is the crew who as individuals and as one cohesive team each caring, professional, human (not robotic), passionate, and humorous who see us as individuals is the number one reason we sail with Crystal. When back home we can’t wait until we return to our happy place. Congratulations Team Crystal. Waterside dinner menu from last evening Your browser does not support viewing this document. The entertainment included Sweet Soul Music featuring the amazing Lead Vocalists, Crystal Ensemble and the Crystal Showband. This was followed by Comedian Tom Drake performing in the Galaxy Lounge. Often I don’t mention other entertainment but there is also Colin Salter singing and playing the piano from 9:00 PM until late at night in the Avenue Saloon, The Flair Duo providing listening and dance music with Ambassador Hosts on hand in the Palm Court from 8:45 to 11:oo PM, DJ Emotion playing music hits from 9:00 to 9:45 PM followed by Violinist Clara Alonso Tofee in the Crystal Cove. At 10:00 PM Dj Motion moves over to the Pulse Nightclub for Karaoke Night from 10:00PM to late at night. If this is not enough there is the Le Casino De Monte-Carlo where you can gamble or a visit to the Hollywood Theatre to see the 2025 movies Las Tres Sisters which played at 8:00 and 10:30 PM. No not the British Invasion featuring the Beatles, but the other invasion. LOL. As part of today we had a tour, reflecting on the American Revolution. Its significance goes beyond mere battles and military strategies. It was a transformative period characterized by a quest for liberty, equality, and justice. The courage and determination of those who fought for independence paved the way for the birth of the United States of America. We can honor their legacy as we continue to learn from this pivotal chapter in history. We were met by the tour guide outside the cruise terminal, and our tour included visits to Lexington and Concord. On our way we drove through parts of Boston and we also stopped and walked inside one the buildings at Harvard. This was our first visit to these areas. The battles of Lexington and Concord were significant as they were the spark that ignited the American Revolution. This marked the famous “shot heard” round the world phrase. The battles showed how the colonists could unite for one common cause. As we walked the bridge we realized it was 250 years ago when the battle took place. Amazing. Cheers,
