Day 7 Sea Day

After we posted Keith attended the Crystal Society Family Facebook Group get together hosted by Crystal Guest Relations.  We had a lot of people attend but many had already left when we decided to take a group photo. Some of the Society Members we have known for years and others met for the first time. Everyone was excited to be on board.

We attended the Tender Drill. Afterwards we went by the Crystal Cove and spoke with officers, crew members, guests and shoreside Crystal personnel. It was a delight. All part of our Crystal extended family.

We dined at Osteria as we've done on the first night since new Crystal started up. This is the dinner menu.

We had an absolutely amazing time dining. The service, ambience and the cuisine were magnificent.  Everything was truly perfect. 

Each item was delectable.  Waiter Carrado who we have had before and who is Italian not only describes the items when he reviews the menu but when they are brought to the table.  You can taste the diversity of ingredients with each bit. It was truly a wonderful experience.

We can't stress the service level and the quality of the food which is why Osteria serves fewer guests compared to Prego.  

The Le Casino opened last evening. It includes Slot Machine, Roulette and Blackjack.

​The only downside of the evening was forwarding the clocks by one hour.  LOL. In spite of this Keith was up early. Seas were calm.

Today is the first sea day of the cruise. This is a great way to start cruise portion of this adventure.   Lots on the program to enjoy in the way of enrichment including three lectures, fitness, bridge, computers, art, health, trivia and an array of other items. The diversity is carries over to the topics and content covered by the lecturers from the British Group of Liverpool back in the day to the minds of exceptional people and the worst in some of the people of the past to behind the scenes at the White House in the West Wing.  

Keith was up early, did laundry, then walked and ran outside and worked out at the Fitness Center.  All before breakfast.  ​

We love sea days sailing Crystal. We can keep as busy as we would like or just relax inside and outside the ship.  A sea day also provides a great opportunity for conversation with guests and crew and the ability to renew acquaintances and to make new ones as well and this is something we really enjoy.  

And there is the food to enjoy as well.
