Greetings From Crystal Symphony. We've included a photo collage of Umi Uma the Japanese Restaurant, photos from yesterday’s sail away from Liverpool and a few more photos from our visit. We wanted to digress for a moment. Over the years, as Keith has walked both Serenity and Symphony in the very early morning hours either on his way to and from the Fitness Center and/or Laundry Room or walking many areas inside and outside of each ship, he has had the honor of getting to know members from each ship who work during the nighttime. This includes members of housekeeping, food and beverage and those who work on the outside deck. This is how he got to know Dennis on Serenity as he took care of room service after the Butlers retired for the evening on Decks 10 and 11 of Serenity. When we returned to Serenity on July 31, 2023 for the first two cruises under new Crystal it was great to not only reunite with Dennis but to see that he had been promoted to the position of butler and when we sailed Serenity just a few weeks ago it was great to see him then. This morning as Keith was walking the Symphony, coming in the opposite direction was Junior Butler Gideon. Since Anne Marie has a compromised immune system, Keith was wearing a mask. As soon as they are a few feet from one another Gideon says hello Mr. Steiner and how is Mrs. Steiner. As they talked, Keith's eyes started to swell because the crew is so very warm and caring and the heart and soul of Crystal. We knew Gideon from Serenity and it was so nice to see him again. In the end, it is the people who make Crystal so very special and why we think of Crystal crew, Crystal land-based personnel, those in enrichment and land-based entertainers and fellow guests as part of that very special Crystal Family. First photo; Dennis and second photo of Gideon from today. Entertainment before dinner. These are the dinner menus from Waterside where we dined last evening. Well guess what. He made up for it this evening. He had two beef appetizers and we both had Beef Wellington for dinner. Mama Mia. LOL. We enjoyed it all. Photo and video as we arrived at the port of Dover, UK which is our turn-around-port. Dover controls the English Channel. In terms of history, Dover is known as a military and garrison town. There is lots to see in Dover including the Dover Castle and the Wartime Tunnel System, both of which we say on a pre-cruise tour right before we boarded Crystal Symphony in 2003. Other attractions include Dover Museum, White Cliffs and Dover Beach. Below is the short version of the Daily Reflections program for those guests who were leaving the ship this morning. Cheers, Anne Marie & Keith

From your photo and description, I believe that’s “our Dennis”. However, he was our butler on the Serenity, in July for the Alaska season. Perhaps he transferred to the Symphony since then?
