Fly To Barcelona

READY OR NOT,  HERE WE COME

​We wanted to begin by thanking several of you for your comments and for following along.
 
Wes many thanks for the good wishes and for following along.  We will think of you and Ida during this adventure including tasting wine in Bordeaux.
 
Carol thank you so much for your comments and we will think of you during this adventure including time in Bordeaux.
 
Emily thank you for your recommendation. We do have one tour planned in Barcelona. We will revisit some areas we have visited before plus some new ones. Over the years we have done several tours in Barcelona. There is a lot to see.
 
Bob and Jeannie thank you for following along and it was so nice to see you last year for the second time on Crystal Serenity. I hope we will cruise with you both again.

We enjoyed a quiet meal last evening and talked about our upcoming adventure. We booked these cruises shortly after the itineraries were released. Some food photos from dinner.

TLater today we fly to Barcelona, Spain and are scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning.
 
The hotel we stayed at is connected to the International Terminal. In fact, the walk from the elevator is less than two minutes from the ticket counter all inside the terminal.
 
TSA is adjacent to the airline check-in counter. I hadn’t notice signage about TSA Pre Check Touchless ID until we were at the TSA checkpoint at our local airport and again yesterday at the airport we are flying out of today. It was a pilot program in 2021 and expanded in 2025 and in the spring of this year was ramped up and is now in 60 USA airports. We inquired about it and learned you sign up for the program with your airline. I believe around five USA based airlines participate in the program. It’s really the same as TSA Pre Check but in most instances you do not present your government photo ID to the TSA agent and they just take your photo as usual.

Always something new. Maybe someday, it will be like Star Trek and guests who cruise can be transported directly onto the cruise ship.
