Travel Day

Thank you David and Rocky, Kathie and Carole for your kind thoughts .  Bags are packed, Ready to go. Can't wait.  

We stayed over at a hotel on site at the airport we fly out of.  With a very early flight which was pulled up a few months after we booked it, this made everything simper.  We took a shuttle from the hotel over to the airport. While the hotel is on site, it is not walkable.  

One thing about today. It is Friday the 13th.  Not that we are superstitious. Well. Keith is.  But it all worked out. LOL.

After checking in and getting through TSA we took a stroll around the airport as the airline club lounge was not yet open. Before we knew, it was time to board the aircraft. The Captain said to expect turbulence for the first 30 minutes of the flight but after that things would be calm. The good news is turbulence was minimal.

We arrived to Miami ahead of schedule and were met by the driver as we waited for our luggage.  With luggage in hand we proceeded to the SUV for our trip over to the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Miami.  This is where we stayed before our first World Cruise in 2007 as it was the hotel Crystal used and where the World Cruise Gala was held. Since then we have stayed here for all of our pre Crystal cruises and for a couple of post Crystal cruises when we couldn't get the desired flight back to our home airport the day we debarked.  We like the location which is in a quieter part of the city, the places that are in walking distance and the layout of the suite we book. Since our first stay, the rooms have been remodeled two times.

We are spending the day getting settled. We did go on a couple of walks and look forward to a nice pre-cruise stay.
