Thelma... thank you for you comments. They are very much appreciated. Last night we had an absolutely wonder evening with a lot of great laughs. We began at the Avenue Saloon. Very few guests and a lot of Bar Staff were on hand. We think this was the start of a quieter evening given that many were up very late the night before. In fact, the Avenue Saloon didn't close until 4:00 AM. They won't close until the last guest leaves. We had a visit from Security Officer Ajoy who we adore. He brought his screw driver with him, and we asked is that to make a Screw Driver? Something we have not mentioned thus far is that on most voyages Crystal Cruises offers Magic Castle At Sea which features a Magician who performs in an intimate room with up to twenty guests attending. On Serenity the Pulse Night Club is used. This allows for guest participation and to get a close-up view of the magician. On each succeeding voyage a different magician performs. On our voyage we have Magician Andrew Goldenhersh performing. Each magician is affiliated with Magic Castle in Southern California. On this voyage he is performing twice daily on six different days. Each show is approximately 25 minutes in length. Guests sign up in advance at the library. These are the dinner menus from Waterside from last evening. We returned to Waterside for dinner. Waterside was the least crowded since we boarded Serenity. Why? Some guests were tired having stayed up into the late hours of the night. We will be forwarding the clocks one hour as we sail into a new time zone. Maybe something to do with plenty of food at the Jazz Brunch. The ability to order in-room dining along with several choices in dining venues. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner and thought the two items we ordered from the Modern Menu were spectacular. They were creative and delicous. Modern Menu items are served on dark dishes and those from the Traditional Menu are served in white dishes. We began with Eggplant Roulade. The photo does not do it justice. The Eggplant was accompanied with Gorgonzola Cheese, Walnut & Cassis. Each item was very tasty and a dish to savor each mouthful. Our next course was a salad. As we did the other night we ordered a Salad Entree without the fish as an appetizer salad. Then we had an amazing Corvinia Sea Bass. It was accompanied with a very tasty and somewhat spicy. Curry Cream. The Sea Bass was moist and served hot. All we can say was wow! The featured entertainment included two show performed by Musical Humorist Jimmy Travis who is a favorite of many seasoned Crystal Cruisers. When we arrived back to the room, there was a reminder on the television to set the clocks forward by one hour. We will do this one final time before arriving to Mexico. We slept well last evening. There was enough rocking of the ship to make it easy to fall asleep. This is the daily Reflections program for today. We began the day as we always do so we won't repeat ourself. This is the second of four sea days as we sail to Mexico and our final port of call in San Pedro. The program had something for everyone. There were two lectures: Nando Parrado spoke about the Miracle in the Andes.j In the afternoon, Jeff Greenberg provided a behind the scenes look at the Television Series Frazier. Keith did have his first haircut of the cruise at the Crystal Salon. The person who cut his hair cut it when we were on-board this past September/October. Since we are on till May both of us will have our hair done several times during the course of this voyage. Anne Marie got in her morning walk while Keith was at the salon. It was too windy to walk outside so she walked inside primarily on Deck 6. We returned to Marketplace for lunch. Yesterday it was very quiet with the majority of the guests either at the Jazz Brunch or some still sleeping. LOL but likely some were in bed after rather a late night. These are some photos that we took two days ago but give you a feel for some of the food stations. It was windy outside but Keith ended up playing close to two and one half hours of Paddle Tennis. Sometimes it made for good laughs as the ball didn't always go in the direction one would think it would go in.
Anne Marie walked inside. More tomorrow. Anne Marie & Keith

Oh boy, those pictures of food made me hungry especially the fried fish and the mixed vegetables. Every year I see to it I plant eggplants so I could cook Ratatouille - - so delicious!

You guys do an excellent job with your blog and comments on Cruise Critic. I've been reading them regularly as I approach a 45 day cruise on the Symphony starting tomorrow.
