DAY 53 - DAY 47 CRYSTAL SERENITY

CRYSTAL SERENITY IS CRUISING THE TASMAN SEA WHILE WE ARE IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Bob...Thank you for your comments. They do have the World Games once per World Cruise and the events are the same year to year. We don't have our list with us but it includes Basketball foul shooting, Paddle Tennis, Table Tennis, Shuffleboard, Backgammon, Social and Duplicate Bridge, Team Trivia, Darts, Golf, and a few things we can't remember.

Doris...Thank you for your comments about Emma and Andre. Yes, some people say there is a resemblance between Emma and Anne Marie and looking back at some photos of Anne Marie from that age we see the resemblance as well.

Bette...Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, she has some of Anne Marie in her face.

G'DAY from Sydney, Austrlia and the Shangri La Hotel.

We slept the first night we arrived to the hotel. We can't credit the rocking of the seas. LOL. The hotel is fairly quiet and we are on the 30th floor so street traffic is not an issue.

We enjoyed a light breakfast in the club room of the Shangri La Hotel. They had fortune cookies and little candy in a red gift envelope for Chinese New Year's. We gave the two we received to our grandchildren.

The club room has panoramic views of the Circular Quay Ship terminal, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House.

We took Uber over to our families place which was about a twenty minute ride from the hotel. We arrived early while Emma and Andre were watching their one daily show. We had presents for each of them plus the candy and fortune cookies. We went to each of their schools with Jennifer. Andre is in second grade and going to the same school we visited last year. Second grade began last week. Emma goes to a different pre-school from last year and attends three times a week; Monday thru Wednesday.

After dropping the grandchildren off to school, Jennifer drove us to Freshwater (one word) and to Curl Curl (two words) beaches. The views at Freshwater had amazing views.

We walked for quite awhile. We stopped off at three grocery stores to pick up items for the evening that Jennifer will be preparing for dinner. We enjoyed lunch at home. Later in the afternoon we picked up the grandchildren and enjoyed time back at Jennifer and Gui's place.
