DAY 10 - CRUISING

After we posted yesterday we received a letter to our stateroom since we are continuing on to the next cruise that the port stop of Bimini has been cancelled for the next cruise due to the covid outbreak on the island.

Keith stopped by the Crystal Society Desk where he was introduced to the new Crystal Society Hostess who is presently in training Sara from Spain.  In a couple of weeks, she will be o;n her own and Crystal Society Host Andrew will be on Symphony when sailing restart.  Previously Sara was Crystal Society Hostess on two of the Crystal River Cruise Vessels. There is a new Crystal Society Hostess who is presently in training Sara from Spain.  In a couple of weeks, she will be on her own and Crystal Society Host Andrew will be on Symphony when sailing restart.  Previously Sara was Crystal Society Hostess on two of the Crystal River Cruise Vessels.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in our room organized by  Butler Frederick.  We had appetizers of seafood, vegetables and pigs n' blankets with Champagne.   This was followed by a salad and Beef Wellington.  We do not  eat beef very often but during thee 16+ months at home thought about the Beef Wellington prepared on Crystal Vessels and wondered for awhile whether or not we would be sailing with Crystal to enjoy this marvelous entree so it was nice to enjoy it last night.  Very tasty and cooked to  perfection.  Enjoyed an amazing Chardonnay  with the appetizers and Keith enjoyed a fantastic Chardonnay with the entree. This was our dessert too.  LOL.

One of the items on the evening program was a Bahamas Deck Party.  Crystal doesn't do deck parties very often so it was nice this was on thee program.

Today  is the last full day of the sailing.  It is a sea day other than a stop at Freeport.  The purpose of the stop is for Serenity to bunker (take fuel).  As a result guests won't be able to get off the ship.

Lots on the program today as Crystal does on sea days.  Even the evening has an excellent variety  of entertainment featuring not only  two concert production shows of Icons in Concert but two shows by Comedian Steve Stevens.

After breakfast we do what we love to do when sailing Crystal Ocean Vessels.  We love the wrap-around Promenade Deck and that was one of many features attracting us to Crystal Cruises.  We have walked it countless times as well as Keith running it.  We have walked it by ourselves, together and with friends.  We have enjoyed wonderful conversations each time we walk it together as we take in the beauty of the sea and land.   

Anne Marie took a second walk while Keith played Paddle Tennis with thee guests he has been playing with since Sunday and had a wonderful time.  After lunch  it was another  walk for Anne Marie and  more Paddle Tennis for Keith.

Indoor Cycling was offered today but Keith is avoiding group classes not only on board the ship but on land.  While he feels safer on the ship with everyone vaccinated he just wants more separation from people when working out.   

We watched lectures in our room which is a nice option so we can watch them when we want.
