We enjoyed another evening on-board Serenity. We had a pre-dinner drink at the Palm Court while we listened to the Crystal QuartetPerform We could see through the windows Cabo San Lucas. Shortly after we pulled up anchor and watched our departure as we made our way into the open seas. Bartender Mel worked his magic at the bar and the Crystal Quartet Band performed live music. We met another couple for a short time for a drink. We have a mutual friend who had suggested we get together. Unfortunately, the mutual friend is dealing with a significant health issue. We had a photo taken of the four of us and this will be sent to someone else for them to take over to show our mutual friend. We returned to Waterside for dinner. Lately every other evening we have dined at Waterside. On Saturday, Head Waiter Augusto who we have known for many years and adore saw Keith and offered to make us one of his special entrees which is Lobster with Penne Pasta and nice red sauce. Keith said this sounds like a plan knowing Anne Marie would love this entree and Augusto also prepared Tuna Tar Tare for Keith (aka Augusto style and size). Yes, size is always on the larger side. LOL. Anne Marie went with another appetizer and we both had dinner salads. We ended dinner with some cheese for Kieth and a small scoop of ice cream for Anne Marie. It was a lovely meal. Some people arrived to dinner later in the evening as they were watching the second of the two National Football League Championship Playoff Games. Congratulations to Kansas City and San Francisco. The Super Bowl will also be shown live on Serenity. Comedian/Ventriloquist Mark Merchant performed two shows. Mark appears on both Serenity and Symphony several times each year. He is funny and brings out a persona as a Ventriloquist of the puppet or is that dummy. Whatever. LOL. We have seen his performances many times over the years. We enjoyed another nice sleep as we make our way along the Coastline to Southern California and Los Angeles. Today is a sea day and we began the day as we usually do with exercise for Keith, breakfast followed by a walk for Anne Marie and a run for Keith. We also changed things up a bit today. Keith went to Rap with the Rabbi this morning. Rap is a session where the Rabbi prepares certain topics and cover them and there is also lots of questions and discussion. Often other topics are brought up by guests. There was lots on the program. The diversity of speakers and entertainment on this leg has been amazing. There were three lectures Destination lecturer Ian MacLachlan spoke about the Panama Canal and putting it into context with Geography and Politics. Next up was Jim Brochu who spoke about the life and career of Lucille Ball. In the afternoon, Scott Bornstein spoke about Mastering Your Memory Power. A friend who was kind enough to knit socks for Anne Marie offered to knit a pair for Keith and we met up with her so she could get Keith's measurements. This is so very nice and we appreciate her friendship and kindness. At noon we had lunch at Marketplace and in the afternoon while Anne Marie walked Keith played Paddle Tennis. Anne Marie also went to the movie Downton Abbey while Keith met up with dear friend Bob. This evening we are going to the Supper Club with dear friends Bob and Glo. More tomorrow. Cheers, Anne Marie & Keith The daily Reflections Program follows.
